It’s Good To Share: Art Song Masterclass with Amy Reynolds
Last weekend, we had the pleasure of being joined by pianist and repetiteur, Amy Reynolds for a full day of singing, exploring the world of Art Song.
It was such a pleasure for us to spend Saturday with Amy Reynolds, who helped us explore the rich world of Art Song, the value of word painting and the vital relationship between text and music, singer and accompanist.
Our day kicked off with a vocal workshop, followed by a very engaging question and answer session. After lunch, we launched into our masterclass sessions, accompanied by Amy.
Here, each participants presented their chosen piece if repertoire, after which there was opportunity for Amy to share her thoughts before an informal concert in he afternoon.
A huge thank you to Amy for being so generous with her time. I’m very happy to say that Amy will be back with us again in the New Year when we look forward to welcoming British-Filipino mezzo-soprano, Marienella Phillips for the next eagerly anticipated instalment of our masterclass series, where we will take the time to explore what it means to be a ‘singing actor’.
Masterclass spaces are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
